Dr. Xubo Gao is a tenured professor at China University of Geosciences, China. He received his Ph.D. and M.S. at China University of Geosciences and B.S. at Chengdu University of Technology of China. After the PhD, he further continued his research work in The University of Texas at Arlington (2009-2010) and The University of Texas at Austin (2013-2015) as a postdoctoral fellow.
He has carried out research on water cycle and water-rock interaction processes in different geological environments, from shallow to deep and local to basin-scale. Recently, his research focus especially on 2) karst water resources and sustainable development, 2) groundwater pollution and remediation, and 3) groundwater flow system and safety water supply. He has served as Chutian scholar (Youth)” of Hubei Province, the board member of CNC-IAHS-CC, (early career) editorial board member of CARSOLOGICA SINICA, Bulletin of Geological Science and Technology, Eco-Environment & Health and guest editor of Minerals, Sustainability and Journal of Chemistry. He is author of over 60 academic papers, such as Water Resources Research, Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta, Journal of Hydrology, with 24 as h-index.
